Cotchin's registered a game-high and season-best 10 tackles, eclipsed 20 disposals for the fifth time in seven appearances and fell one clearance short of tying his to aggregate for the year on Saturday. The performance ultimately earned the 31 year-old midfielder his best fantasy performance of 2021 (109 points), but did little to improve a fantasy points-per-game positional ranking of 106 (75.3).

Cotchin suffered a hamstring injury during Friday's Round 7 win over the Western Bulldogs, according to's match report.
Cotchin also collected 24 disposals and made four marks during this game to put up his second-highest fantasy total of the season. The Tiger's captain for each of their three straight flag-winning seasons, Cotchin will hope that he's not out for long with this injury, but he's likely set to miss at least a couple of weeks.

Cotchin (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's match versus Carlton, Fox Footy reports.
The 30-year-old was recently downgraded to doubtful while dealing with a bout of gastro, and he won't be available for the season opener. Cotchin will have to wait until next week's matchup with Hawthorn to make his season debut.
