Patrick Dangerfield
Out for three matches
MGeelong Cats
March 23, 2021
Dangerfield was found guilty by a match review tribunal and will miss the next three Rounds against Brisbane, Hawthorn and Melbourne. He's was caught making a heavy challenge with Adelaide's Jake Kelly that left Kelly with a concussion and the decision was not appealed.
Dangerfield will next be available in Round 5 against North Melbourne after he completes his suspension. He still had a productive start to the season with 26 disposals and six marks made, so it's worth tracking his return to the field.

Falls short in Grand Final loss
MGeelong Cats
October 24, 2020
Dangerfield ended with 12 disposals (seven kicks, five handballs), three tackles, one mark, one goal and one behind in Saturday's 81-50 Grand Final loss to Richmond.
Dangerfield was unable to lift his side to victory in what was his first Grand Final appearance. The classy midfielder could simply not get his hands on the ball down the stretch as the Cats blew an early 22 point lead. Despite the loss, it has certainly been an impressive season for Dangerfield who finished inside the top-10 in multiple categories. He will be almost 31 years of age when next season kicks off and his premiership window is getting smaller by the year.

Dangerfield ended with 19 disposals (13 kicks, six handballs) six marks, four goals and one tackle in Saturday's 100-32 victory over the Magpies.
Dangerfield stamped his class on the game from the opening bounce and turned in arguably the best finals performance of his career as the Cats dominated a terrible Collingwood outfit. He floated between the forward line and the midfield and was simply in a class of his own. The win sets up a mouth-watering matchup against the Lions next Saturday with the winner moving through to the Grand Final.

Dangerfield produced 22 disposals (14 kicks, eight handballs), two marks, two tackles and one goal in Thursday's 58-42 loss to Port Adelaide.
Dangerfield did his very best but it simply wasn't enough as the Cats fell by 16 points. He managed to keep his team close enough at the final change, scoring a vintage running goal to close out the third quarter. Unfortunately, he received very little support from his teammates, many of which are going to have to be better if the Cats hope to move beyond next week.

Dangerfield ended with 14 disposals (11 kicks, three handballs), five marks, four tackles, three goals and two behinds in Sunday's 69-63 victory over the Swans.
With a top-four finish on the line, Dangerfield went forward for the Cats, booting a season-high three goals. The Swans would simply not go away, resulting in the Cats having to pull out all the stops to get the victory. The shift forward resulted in a season-low 14 disposals for Dangerfield; however, it was arguably his best game of the season in terms of fantasy production.

Dangerfield compiled 32 disposals (18 kicks, 14 handballs), five marks and two tackles in Friday's 72-61 victory over the Bulldogs.
Geelong became the second team in as many days to come back from a six-goal deficit. Trailing by 36 points after a dismal first term, the Cats were able to chip away at the lead. Dangerfield dominated with a game-high 32 disposals and 10 score involvements. He also topped the clearance count, demonstrating just how important he is to the Cats' premiership hopes.
