Logs six clearances in loss
MNorth Melbourne Kangaroos
September 12, 2020
Simpkin totaled 15 disposals (three kicks, 12 handballs) and four tackles in Saturday's 99-35 loss to the Dockers.
Simpkin had been questionable heading into Saturday's game after receiving a head knock in the Dockers loss to the Power. He took his place in the starting lineup and was one of the Roos' best with a game-high six clearances. The Kangaroos are merely playing out the season at this point and could actually take out the wooden spoon should the resurgent Crows continue on their winning ways.

Simpkin suffered a concussion during Saturday's game against the Power.
The length of Simpkin's absence will likely be determined at a later date, but he will at least have a little time to rest up despite the condensed schedule with the Roos not returning to the pitch until next Friday.

Simpkin collected 26 disposals (11 kicks, 15 handballs) in addition to making four marks and eight tackles during Friday's 53-52 loss to Brisbane.
Simpkin put together his best performance of the season and was able to seriously challenge their opponents, who struggled to convert on their big chances. As long as Simpkin gets at least 20 disposals, his value should remain a little bit more steady even as his team continues to struggle.

Simpkin scored one goal and collected 25 disposals (15 kicks, 10 handballs) in addition to making eight clearances during Wednesday's 90-57 loss to Geelong.
Simpkin got his goal late in the match, but it was already too little too late with how badly his team lost their marks. He also matched his second-highest disposal total of the season, which could bode well for his play even if his team still struggles in the coming matches.

Simpkin collected 23 disposals (16 kicks, seven handballs) to go with six tackles and seven clearances while also scoring one behind during Saturday's 67-53 loss to Essendon.
Simpkin benefited from the masterful work of Todd Goldstein at Ruck to make sure he got plenty of the footy, which helped him stand out when the attack struggled again. Simpkin has logged at least 20 disposals in every Round this season. This should come in handy in the next Round against Richmond.
