Tim Kelly
Has huge game in win
MWest Coast Eagles
September 10, 2020
Kelly kicked one major and scored two behinds to go with 30 disposals (20 kicks, 10 handballs) in addition to making six marks, logging four tackles and completing nine clearances during Thursday's 65-50 win over Saint Kilda.
Kelly had one of the most important performances of any player all season by being in the right place at the right time to keep his club within reaching distance of the Saints at every opportunity. Before this match, Kelly only topped 20 disposals in one of the previous five matches. As a result, it might be hard to expect Kelly to match his efforts in the next Round, especially with his place in the finals now secured thanks to his work.

The Eagles will now head home with back-to-back victories and certainly seem to be finding their mojo after an unassuming start to the season. For Kelly, Saturday was a sign that he is rounding into form, notching season-high totals across multiple categories.

Kelly was assisted off the training grounds during Friday's match simulation due to an ankle injury, but the club believes he just "turned an ankle" and he will join his teammates when they travel t the Queensland-based hub next week, Ben Waterworth of Fox Sports reports.
Kelly's injury popped up at an unfortunate time with just over a week remaining before the team returns to action versus Gold Coast. Fortunately, he didn't require medical treatment on the sidelines and was later spotted walking around the boundary line, so there seems to be a good chance that he will be available for the Round 2 clash.
