Steele Sidebottom
Logs 30 disposals in loss
MCollingwood Magpies
April 10, 2021
Sidebottom recorded 30 disposals (21 kicks, nine handballs) and made eight marks during Saturday's 90-60 loss to GWS.
Sidebottom was the only Magpie to top 100 fantasy points as they were easily controlled for much of this contest. With Sidebottom seeing his disposals increase from 20 to 30 between Rounds 1 and 3, he should remain a highly reliable weapon that only improves when his team plays well too.

Slated to play in Round 2
MCollingwood Magpies
March 23, 2021
Sidebottom is slated to play in Round 2 against Carlton after recovering from a calf injury.
Sidebottom missed Round 1 with a injury that lingered from the preseason but he's been strong throughout training this week and is expected to be fully fit against the Blues. He managed an impressive 23.7 disposals per match while only playing nine times in 2020, so Sidebottom could be a huge player for the Magpies if he can stay on the field.
Out for Round 1

Sidebottom (calf) will miss Round 1 against Western Bulldogs.
Sidebottom is still a great player but he only played nine times last season and begins the 2021 campaign with a muscular problem. When he's back, there may not be many players in the league who are as good for fantasy as him.
Appears in practice match

March 3, 2021
Sidebottom was named to the roster for a Feb. 25 practice match against Geelong.
Sidebottom was absent for nearly half of last season but without any more issues to take care of figures to be potential fantasy star in the coming campaign. While those absences in 2020 should cause some pause, it just means that it's important to make sure that Sidebottom is actually available before selecting him.
Leaving team for four games
MCollingwood Magpies
August 25, 2020
Sidebottom will miss the next four games as he joins his partner for the birth of their child, Riley Beveridge of AFL Media reports.
Sidebottom's regular season appears to be over, but he may be set to rejoin the Magpies for the finals, if they make it. Collingwood currently sits in a position to participate, checking in seventh in the ladder, but they are far from a lock to continue on with numerous teams nipping at their heels. Things will be tougher without Sidebottom, who has averaged just under 24 disposals to go along with 4.2 tackles and 3.7 marks per contest, helping in the midfield.
Collects 18 disposals in win
MCollingwood Magpies
August 6, 2020
Sidebottom collected 18 disposals (nine kicks, nine handballs) and made eight tackles during Thursday's 50-41 win over Sydney.
Sidebottom wasn't nearly as impressive as he was in his return to the pitch, but he still made a reasonable impact with his highest tackle total of the season. One can expect Sidebottom to consistently produce at a high level, but this may not hold true until he finds his rhythm after a long time on the bench.
