Zak Butters
Suspension over
FPort Adelaide Power
September 29, 2020
Butters has served his two-match ban for a high bump against the Kangaroos.
Butters should be clear to rejoin the action for the Power's first finals match Thursday versus Geelong. He's seen his play trail off down the stretch, but Butters has some upside, reaching 20-plus disposals three times and reaching six marks on three occasions as well. He didn't fare particularly well the last time these two squads went at it, going without a goal and tallying just 12 disposals.

Banned for two matches
FPort Adelaide Power
September 11, 2020
Butters has been handed a two-match ban for a high bump during the team's last contest versus the Kangaroos, Loukas Founten of the Power's official site reports.
Butters performed well in the contest but was clearly a candidate for the ban following a bump on Jy Simpkin. The length of the ban will allow him to be available for the first round of the finals.
Faces anxious wait after dubious bump

September 5, 2020
Butters finished with 17 disposals (six kicks, 11 handballs), four tackles three marks and one goal in Saturday's 78-72 victory over the Kangaroos.
Butters was very good for the Power as they easily accounted for the Kangaroos, but it will be an incident with Jy Simkin that will be the real talking point. Butters is likely to be referred to the tribunal and could be in danger of missing at least one game after he made high contact during a bump gone wrong. While there was no malice in the hit, it was reckless and the Power will now be sweating on the match review panel.

Butters finished with 20 disposals (five kicks, 15 handballs), two marks, two tackles and one goal in Saturday's 93-72 victory over Richmond.
Port Adelaide flexed their muscles in a stirring come-from-behind victory. Trailing at three-quarter time, the Power booted three goals during the final term, while keeping the Tigers scoreless. Butters is one of the most promising young players in the AFL right now and although his production can waiver at times, he is certainly worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

July 4, 2020
Butters scored two goals and collected 18 disposals (10 kicks, eight handballs) during Saturday's 85-48 loss to Brisbane.
Butters hasn't been the most consistent player and finally made the big play, though it came in a big loss. Given how skewed the final result was, and how poorly Charlie Dixon played, it remains to be seen if Butters will keep up his pace.

Butters amassed 21 disposals (11 kicks, 10 handballs), eight tackles, seven marks, one goal and one behind during Saturday's 110-35 victory over Adelaide.
Butters lived up to his name, proving too slippery for the Crows to handle. Along with Connor Rozee and Xavier Duursma, Butters forms a part of an impressive young core for the Power. All three players appear likely to have an impact this year despite their inexperience.
