March 21, 2021
Rowell suffered "an apparently serious knee injury" early in a 83-58 Round One loss to West Coast on Sunday, the Autralian Broadcast Corporation reports.
ANALYSIS
Rowell ended up on crutches and in a knee brace after coming down hard on his left knee on a tackle by Zac Langdon early in Sunday's match. Suns head coach Stuart Dew noted that though he believed the injury was "not serious, serious," the 20 year-old midfielder will mostly likely miss at least a few weeks. The news comes on the heels of a 2020 rookie season in which Rowell missed a large part of the season to a shoulder injury.

Rowell underwent scans on his shoulder injury which revealed a dislocation, Jon Ralph of the Herald Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
The Suns have not yet confirmed whether Rowell will need to undergo immediate surgery to facilitate recovery from his dislocation, but if a procedure is required, it would likely spell an end to the 19-year-old's season. Even if Rowell is able to avoid surgery, he'll likely be sidelined for multiple weeks while he recovers from the dislocated shoulder.
