Franklin (leg) will miss 3-4 weeks, AFL Ratings reports.
ANALYSIS
Franklin suffered a bone bruise in his leg during a collision with Connor Idun during the third quarter of the Swans' loss to GWS on Sunday. This is no doubt a big blow to the team for the next few weeks at least, as there's no replacing his goal-scoring acumen as one of the premiere players in the league.

Wins third Brett Kirk Medal
FSydney Swans
April 18, 2021
Franklin notched 14 disposals, eight marks, five goals and four tackles Saturday as Sydney fell to GWS 71-69 at SCG.
ANALYSIS
Franklin's best goal total since June of last year and season-highs for kicks, disposals and marks not only landed the 34-year old his best fantasy output of 2021 (98 points) on Saturday, but too earned him his third Brett Kirk Medal in five years. The forward, who now ties Kieren Jack for most medals earned in the Sydney Derby, exits Round Five trailing only Adelaide's Taylor Walker as the AFL's current leader in goals scored per game (3.67) and ranked 12th overall for contested marks an outing (2.33).

While only his four tackles - third-highest amongst all Sydney players - jump off the page as also being statistically relevant, the 34 year-old forward performance versus the Bombers nevertheless netted him his best overall fantasy output of 2021 - 71 points.
