Murphy announced his retirement Monday.
Murphy played in 300 games for the Blues and ended his career on a high note with a successful final season. The 34-year-old averaged 8.2 kicks, 5.4 handballs, 13.6 disposals, 3.4 marks, 1.7 tackles and 1.3 clearances an appearance during his final campaign.

Murphy acquired 24 disposals, five tackles, four marks and three clearances Saturday as Carlton suffered a crushing 140-45 defeat to Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Murphy, playing in his 300th and final game for the Blues, put up solid numbers on Saturday, registering season-highs in kicks (14), handballs (10) and disposals en route to his best fantasy performance of 2021 (92 points). The 34 year-old closes out the year having averaged 8.2 kicks, 5.4 handballs, 13.6 disposals, 3.4 marks, 1.7 tackles and 1.3 clearances an appearance and put up 55.9 fantasy points a game.

Murphy announced that he will retire after Round 22 against Port Adelaide following the 300th game of his career.
Murphy spent his entire career with Carlton and will finish things off after reaching an impressive milestone of matches played.

Murphy is listed as an emergency in the initial Round 19 lineup against North Melbourne.
Murphy probably won't play after overcoming a calf injury but his availability is still confirmed unless his name is removed when lineups are locked. When healthy, Murphy has averaged 14.8 disposals per game this season.

Murphy has yet to play in July due to a calf issue and could return against the 'Roos with a good week of training. Across the season, Murphy has scored no more than 84 points in a single game.
