May 29, 2021
Ward compiled 32 disposals, eight marks, five clearances, two goals and a single tackle Saturday as GWS fell to Brisbane 129-65 at Gabba.
Ward registered his best kick (17), disposal and mark aggregates of the season and logged his first multi-goal performance of 2021 in Saturday's loss to Brisbane. The Giants' No. 2 for handballs and No. 3 for disposals on the year has now produced at least 103 fantasy points in each of his team's last three outings and, subsequently, enters June ranked the AFL's 66th most-productive option for selection at midfielder (86.4 points a game).

Ward was one of the stars of the show as Giants grabbed their first win of the season and stymied a dynamic Magpie midfield. With a couple of rounds in which he barely reached 20 disposals, it's worth being a little careful when selecting Ward as 37 disposals in one match is high for any player, and he could regress to a more average spot.

Ward ended with 14 disposals (seven kicks, seven handballs), two marks, one tackle and one goal in Friday's 59-55 victory over the Bombers.
The Giants roared home in the final term to snatch a four-point victory thanks to a somewhat dubious goal, courtesy of Ward. He was awarded a free-kick with less than a minute remaining after copping an apparent high shot. Replays suggest he may have exaggerated the contact, much to the ire of the Bombers fans. Ward himself had a somewhat productive game but is far from a consistent fantasy target.
