In line to return
DSydney Swans
July 21, 2020
Melican (groin) is set to be available for selection to take on Hawthorn on Sunday.
Melican has sat out the previous two contests due to a groin issue after missing the early portion of the season due to a hamstring complaint. He looks to finally be in good health and should slot in as a fullback as he did in his debut back in early July.
Could miss two weeks

Melican (groin) is likely to miss at least the next two weeks, according to Executive GM of Football Charlie Gardiner. "A scan has shown that he has a groin strain and will miss a couple of weeks, which is disappointing for (Melican) as he had just found his way back in the team."
Unfortunately for Melican, he left with a groin strain soon after returning from a hamstring injury. Kaiden Brand (groin) could fill Melican's gap in the team if he makes his own healthy return.

Melican left Saturday's 77-43 loss to West Coast with a groin issue, according to coach John Longmire.
Melican had been dealing with a hamstring injury and had to leave in his return to play with another issue. His status will become clearer over the course of the week.

Melican (hamstring) will be available for selection for the Swans' Round 2 match versus Essendon, per the AFL's official site.
Melican benefitted from the hiatus and will be back in the mix for selection. He should be a strong candidate for inclusion in the starting 18, which could come at the expense of Kaiden Brand.
