Per the AFL's official site, de Boer's late departure from the lineup came courtesy of a back injury. The team wound up losing the contest, ending the Giants 2020 campaign.

De Boer finished with 14 disposals (five kicks, nine handballs) and five tackles in Saturday's 91-53 victory over the Dockers.
De Boer was tasked with shutting down Nat Fyfe and did an excellent job throughout the match. He limited the Dockers superstar to just 11 disposals, also keeping him scoreless. The Giants were tremendous all over the park and certainly looked as though they are ready to make a charge at this year's flag.

De Boer (hamstring) will return for Saturday's match versus the Swans.
De Boer needed to make it through training without any issues before being cleared for a return and it appears he did just that. De Boer is set to line up as a half-forward alongside Harry Himmelbury and Toby Greene on Saturday.

De Boer is expected to miss 2-3 three games with a hamstring injury in Sunday's match against Gold Coast, Rob Forsaith of reports.
Both De Boer and Toby Greene went down with hamstring injuries on Sunday and are expected to miss Friday's match with Essendon plus an additional one to two games.

De Boer suffered a hamstring injury during the final moments of Sunday's match against Gold Coast.
De Boer has only scored one time all season and tied his season high of six tackles before leaving Sunday's match. With star Toby Greene also suffering a hamstring injury and the club suggesting they'll take their time with his recovery, De Boer may also be managed slowly in his rehab.
