September 29, 2020
Shuey (hamstring) is slated to take the field in Saturday's elimination final versus Collingwood.
ANALYSIS
Shuey may need to knock off some rust early in the contest after being sidelined for a month due to a hamstring complaint. Still, he figures to be a key piece in the Eagles' midfield after routinely topping 20 disposals and adding in plenty of marks and tackles during the home-and-away season.

Likely done for regular season
MWest Coast Eagles
Hamstring
September 3, 2020
Shuey is expected to be sidelined until after Round 18 due to a low-grade hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Shuey's 19.3 disposals, 3.2 tackles and 2.4 marks per game will certainly be missed, but it sounds as though a return for the finals isn't out of the question. The good news is that he's expected to only require a 2-to-3 week recovery period, which could open a return for the start of the postseason.
Strong in loss
MWest Coast Eagles
August 27, 2020
Shuey logged 27 disposals (14 kicks, 13 handballs) while also making six tackles and completing six clearances during Thursday's 88-61 loss to Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Shuey hasn't been consistent at all this season but he's still logged at least 20 disposals in every other of the last five matches. This would suggest that the next match against Essendon may not go so well, and the Bombers are also a stronger opponent.
Set to play Sunday

July 21, 2020
Shuey (hamstring) is set to rejoin the lineup for Sunday's match versus Collingwood.
ANALYSIS
Shuey was a late omission from last week's lineup as a precaution with the Eagles taking on an underwhelming Fremantle opponent. The extra week will likely pay off for Shuey, who should be fresh for a major clash with Collingwood as the Eagles look to climb the ladder.
Absence carrying on

Hamstring
July 18, 2020
Shuey (hamstring) is not expected to compete in Sunday's derby against Fremantle after being left off the 22-man lineup, Jimmy Williams of 9 News Perth reports.
ANALYSIS
Shuey was able to check every box in terms of his approach for a return to competition. He went through an hour-long session Saturday morning and didn't appear to be withholding himself from any part of the action. The one twist, however, is that he was not training with the top team as the 22 starters were given the day to rest in advance of Sunday's clash. Shuey has had some history with hamstring injuries and so the Eagles' coaching staff is taking a cautious approach before giving their captain the green light to retake the field for good.
Slated to rejoin AFL side
MWest Coast Eagles
July 16, 2020
Shuey (hamstring) is set to rejoin the lineup for Sunday's game versus Fremantle.
ANALYSIS
Shuey missed last week due to injury but was a candidate to miss multiple. Fortunately, the skipper, who just needs to make it through Saturday's captain's run without incident, should be back in the fold for the Eagles. Shuey's recent efforts haven't reached the greatest of heights, but he certainly possesses plenty of upside and gets a solid matchup in Round 7.
