Hewett signed a contract with the Blues on Sunday, 7 AFL reports.
Hewett was drafted by the Swans in 2013 but will join a new club following the 2021 campaign. The midfielder made 20 appearances for Sydney last year and totaled 354 disposals, 204 handballs and 150 kicks.

Hewett has overcome a concussion and will e available for Round 9 against Collingwood, according to
Hewett hasn't played since Round 6 and will hope to put his hand up for selection this weekend. He hasn't scored more than 66 fantasy points in a game since Round 1, in which he scored 83.

Hewett will need to miss at least Round 7 while in the league's 12-day concussion protocol. His absence shouldn't be as impactful for fantasy, as he's scored no more than 66 points since Round 2.

Hewett (back) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2020 season, Marc McGowan of the AFL's official site reports.
Hewett's original timetable left some room for a return in the latter portion of the season, but that has been pushed back along with a number of players for the Swans. He will instead look toward 2021 for his next chance at playing on the AFL side.

Hewett had been a decent contributor for the Swans this season, racking up 13.8 disposals, 3.2 tackles and 1.8 marks per contest. However, the newest setback will prevent him from getting a chance to improve on those numbers for a while. the soonest Hewett could be considered for selection again, based on the timetable, would be in early September.

Hewett is dealing with a bulging disc in his back that leaves his status in question for Saturday's match versus Hawthorn.
Hewett is one of three Swans who are set to be tested later in the week before a final decision is reached on each of their respective statuses. He has yet to miss a contest this season for the Swans, but he hasn't exactly produced enough to this point warrant major DFS consideration consistently either.
