Corbin Martin News: Cut loose from 40-man

The Orioles designated Martin for assignment Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Martin appeared in 10 games in August, in which he surrendered 14 total runs on 19 hits and five walks across 10.2 innings. He is getting cut loose from the Orioles along with Elvin Rodriguez as Baltimore reinstates both Tyler Wells (elbow) and Jorge Mateo (hamstring) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
