The Mets selected Ross's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Ross started the season at High-A Brooklyn but will join the big-league club in the closing days of the regular season. The 24-year-old will make his MLB debut if he gets into a game. He's delivered a 1.45 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 38:21 K:BB in 31 innings of relief for Syracuse. The Mets designated Kevin Herget for assignment in a corresponding move.
