Evan Carter Injury: Making progress in rehab

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that he was "really encouraged" by the progress Carter (back) has made, MLB.com reports.

Carter responded well to an injection for his back spasms and is nearing activation. The outfielder last played Aug. 1 and may need a rehab assignment before coming back to the Rangers.
