Garrett Hampson News: Set to lose roster spot

The Cardinals are expected to designate Hampson for assignment Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Hampson will be dropped from the team's 40-man roster as Alec Burleson (wrist) makes his return from the 10-day injured list Monday. Scine being claimed off waivers from the Reds in late June, Hampson has gone 3-for-29 with a double, an RBI, nine runs scored and a stolen base in 35 games.
