Cabrera elected free agency Tuesday.

After being pushed off the Cubs' 40-man roster Saturday, Cabrera will test his value in free agency. The 28-year-old owns a 6.35 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 17 innings between the Cubs and Mets this season, so he may have to settle for a minor-league deal to join another organization.
