Jacob Amaya News: Contract selected

The White Sox selected Amaya's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Amaya was booted off the 40-man roster back in May but has made his way back to the White Sox as a replacement for the injured Chase Meidroth (thumb). The 26-year-old Amaya will likely serve as a reserve infielder during his upcoming stint with the big club.
