Jacob Amaya News: DFA'd by Chicago
The White Sox designated Amaya for assignment Friday.
The White Sox needed to make room for Chase Meidroth (thumb) returning from the 10-day injured list. Amaya appeared in 36 games for Chicago this season and slashed a paltry .106/.139/.121 with one double, eight RBI, seven runs scored, two stolen bases and a 3:16 BB:K across 73 trips to the plate.
