Jacob Young News: Losing playing time

Young is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Philadelphia.

Young will cede center field duties to Robert Hassell for the third time in four games Friday. Each of Young's absences during that stretch has come against right-handed pitchers, and the 25-year-old may be slipping into a short-side platoon role with the lefty-hitting Hassell. Young has four hits and a 28 percent K rate in his last 46 at-bats.
