Jordan Weems News: DFA'd by Astros

The Astros designated Weems for assignment Monday.

Weems will lose his spot on the 40-man roster after he coughed up five runs while retiring only one batter in his relief appearance during Sunday's 12-0 loss to the Orioles. Houston selected the contract of right-hander Tayler Scott from Triple-A Sugar Land to replace Weems in the bullpen.
