Jose Castillo News: Outrighted to minors

Castillo was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

The Mets designated Castillo for assignment last weekend, and no other team was willing to put him on their 40-man roster via a waiver claim. Castillo has made a total of 19 appearances in the majors this season between Arizona and New York, posting a 5.30 ERA and 1.93 WHIP over 18.2 innings.
