Jose Siri Injury: Starting up rehab at Single-A
Siri (tibia) is expected to report to Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.
Siri has been out since April 17 due to a fractured left tibia. With the Mets having acquired Cedric Mullins to be their everyday center fielder at the trade deadline and Tyrone Taylor still available to fill in against tough left-handed pitching, there isn't a clear role for Siri, so the Mets likely won't be in much of a rush to clear room for him on the 40-man roster.
