Justin Garza News: Elects free agency

Garza elected to become a free agent Tuesday.

He passed through waivers after being removed from the Mets' 40-man roster, but Garza has decided to hit the free-agent market rather than accept an outright assignment. The 31-year-old has allowed four runs with a 3:1 K:BB in 6.2 innings during his brief time with the Mets in 2025.
