Luke Jackson News: Becomes free agent

Jackson elected free agency Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The veteran reliever cleared waivers after being removed from the Tigers' 40-man roster and will seek a job elsewhere rather than accepting an outright assignment to the minors. Jackson has posted a 4.54 ERA and 28:24 K:BB over 39.2 innings this season between the Rangers and Tigers.
