Philip Abner News: Contract selected from Reno

The Diamondbacks selected Abner's contract from Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

The 23-year-old Abner opened 2025 in Single-A but has advanced through Arizona's minor-league system quickly and appears set to make his MLB debut in the coming days. The left-hander has a 3.07 ERA and 10.7 K/9 across 58.2 innings of relief in the minors this season. Abner was a sixth-round pick in the 2023 Draft.
