Rhett Lowder News: Not expected back this season

Lowder's (oblique/forearm) rehab will be slowed and he is not expected to return this season, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Lowder underwent an MRI on his right shoulder after he was having trouble rebounding in between rehab appearances. That imaging came back negative, but the righty has run out of time to contribute to the Reds down the stretch. Lowder has been limited to just five rehab appearances this season due to forearm, oblique and shoulder issues.
