Seth Martinez News: Bound for free agency

Martinez elected free agency Saturday after clearing waivers.

Rather than remaining in the Miami organization as relief depth at Triple-A Jacksonville after being pushed off the 40-man roster, Martinez will head to the open market in search of a new opportunity. In six appearances for the big club this season, Martinez has posted a 5.40 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB in 6.2 innings.
