Thomas Hatch News: Removed from 40-man roster
The Royals designated Hatch for assignment Saturday.
Hatch will be jettisoned from the Royals' 40-man roster after giving up two runs in one inning of relief during his season debut Friday in Toronto. Jonathan Bowlan was also optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday as the Royals cleared spots on the 26-man active roster for Ryan Bergert and Bailey Falter, who were both acquired Thursday.
