De Pena was traded from the Angels to the Yankees on Thursday along with international bonus pool money in exchange for Oswald Peraza, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

An 18-year-old repeating the Dominican Summer League, De Pena is a low-probability flyer for the Yankees. He is slashing .211/.296/.451 with four home runs and five steals in 31 games this season.
