2024 Fantasy Outlook

After toiling in the minors since 2018, Walker made his major league debut in late May. He earned the promotion with a .89 ERA and .85 WHIP with Triple-A Sacramento. Walker appeared 49 times with the Giants, serving as an opener on 13 occasions. He fanned batters at a 29.7 percent clip, but his 9.1 percent walk rate was a bit above average. However, the main reason for a high 1.39 WHIP was a bloated .351 BABIP. As unlucky as he was in that realm, an 81.8 percent left on base mark kept the traffic from reaching home. Walker's performance should merit a spot in the Giants opening day bullpen. With several young starting pitchers, he could reprise his opener role.
