Jason Knapp

Knapp was a key piece in the Cliff Lee trade and it's easy to see why. He cooks with gas with a mid-90s fastball that can touch 99. He's had some concerns regarding his mechanics and needed surgery to clean up his shoulder during the offseason, but should be ready for spring training. In two stops at Low-A he fanned 123 and allowed just 73 hits in 97 innings. He's an intimidating presence on the mound (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) and could eventually shift to the bullpen, but look for the Indians to let him remain in the rotation for High-A Kinston to refine his raw stuff.
