2013 Fantasy Outlook
Gould wasn't having a great season anyway, but after being mentioned as the centerpiece of the failed Carlos Lee deal with the Astros, Gould's final 10 starts were extra ugly - 46 innings, 12 home runs, and a 7.83 ERA. On the plus side, he has a live arm, is just 21 years old, and his K/9 rate was solid at 8.5. He was also pitching in the hitter-friendly California League, so perhaps a move to Double-A will help. Gould is still worth monitoring in long-term keeper leagues, but he needs a solid 2013 to maintain any sort of prospect status.
