Rest-of-Season Projections

Celestino has signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox that includes an invite to spring training, Jenny Dell of NESN reports.
ANALYSIS
Celestino will remain in the Red Sox organization for at least one more year, after posting a 6.12 ERA and a 8.8 K/9 in 39 appearances last season, his first as a reliever. The 24-year-old needs to rein in his control (4.5 BB/9 last season) and see better overall results before being considered for any sort of promotion.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2011
Celestino had a nice year at Low-A Greenville in 2011, getting by mostly with low-to-mid 90s fastball, though his changeup has come along nicely. He'll need to work on commanding the fastball, staying off the middle of the plate, while continuing to develop his secondary offerings. We're looking to see him mix in the slider more to give batters more to think about.
