The Twins selected Peavey with the fifth pick of the Triple-A phase of Thursday's Rule 5 draft.
ANALYSIS
Peavey's time with Triple-A Las Vegas of the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League in 2014 was nightmarish, as he posted an 11.62 ERA and 2.30 WHIP in six starts to begin the year. The move back down to Double-A Binghamton helped get Peavey back on track (2.90, 1.03) and seemingly convinced the Twins that the flyball pitcher could fare reasonably well in a spacious home park.
