It's fair to say Giron held his own at Low-A Fort Wayne as an 18-year-old in 2015 — and that is probably an understatement. Playing against competition that was, on average, more than three years older, Giron turned in a .742 OPS with nine homers and just a 16.2 percent strikeout rate. Further, he swiped 15 bases in his 96 games, but was also caught 14 times on the basepaths, and his .938 fielding percentage at shortstop left quite a bit to be desired. Even if he is moved off short eventually (presumably to second base), Giron has enough power and makes enough contact to reach the majors and emerge as a mixed league option. Given his age and power relative to his future position, Giron could be a trendy name in dynasty league drafts this year.
