Inks minor-league deal with Reds
Selsky signed a minor-league contract with the Reds on Monday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Selsky will serve as organizational depth for the Reds in 2018. He broke camp with the Red Sox in 2017, though he wound up making just eight appearances (going 1-for-9 with five strikeouts) before being sent back to Triple-A Pawtucket, where he finished out the season hitting .215/.270/.360 across 79 games.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Selsky seemed to have hit the proverbial wall at the Triple-A level in the Reds' organization. Last season marked his third in the International League. Of course, one thing led to another, and the 27-year-old wound up logging 54 at-bats in the majors. His .314 batting average is a bit deceptive given the small sample and the fact that five of his 16 hits on the campaign were gathered in the same game, and things look even worse when considering his 2:22 BB:K. Given this performance, Selsky is likely destined for another season dwelling in the minors as organizational depth, especially after moving to a Red Sox organization that boasts a talented and youthful major league outfield.
