Alberto Rosario

At 29 years old, Rosario got his first taste of the big leagues during the 2016 campaign after injuries rendered Brayan Pena unable to play and the Cardinals were in need of a backup catcher. While with the club, Rosario was almost nonexistent in 20 games. After the season he was outrighted off the 40-man roster and figures to begin the 2017 season at Triple-A Memphis, staying there for the foreseeable future. While underwhelming in the majors, Rosario has been a decent performer with Memphis. However, power (or a lack thereof) will keep Rosario from being a viable solid offensive option at any level, as he owns a bleak .308 slugging percentage in his minor-league career.
