Doug Jones, currently on the disabled list with back trouble, threw on the side Thursday and A's manager Art Howe reported everything went well. Jones, who is eligible to be activated on April 9, may go on a rehab assignment before he joins the A's. "We just want to make sure he's 100 percent," said Howe. "We're going to discuss the possibility of pitching him in a couple minor league games."
