Shelby begins the year in High-A but should see Double-A at some point this year. The thin nature of the White Sox farm system right now means he'll be moved as quickly as his performance allows.

2009 Fantasy Outlook
Somewhat comparable to his dad, Shelby is a converted infielder who projects defensively as a corner outfielder in the majors. With solid raw skills and some success behind him, a future as an MLB fourth outfielder with speed is within his grasp. He'll have to continue hitting for average at the higher levels -- at .290, he plays, but at .260, he doesn't.
