Optioned from 28-man roster
PBoston Red Sox  AAA
August 6, 2020
Mazza was optioned to Boston's alternate training site Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Mazza made his lone appearance of the season Aug. 1, giving up no runs and striking out three across 2.2 innings. He wasn't necessarily considered a high-leverage reliever, however, so his name ultimately ended up getting called when it came time to trim the roster down to 28 players.
