2022 Fantasy Outlook
Stashak didn't make any appearances for the Twins or any of their minor-league affiliates after May of last season due to a back injury. It's hard to read too much into his 2021 stats as a result. When healthy in 2019 and 2020, Stashak was a dependable part of Minnesota's middle relief corps. Stashak has mediocre velocity (91.9 mph fastball), but his pinpoint control and effective slider help keep hitters off balance. He'll need to show he's healthy as he's had frequent back issues, but he could become a factor again in the late innings. Read Past Outlooks

Out with shoulder issue
Stashak was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right shoulder impingement.
ANALYSIS
Stashak delivered a scoreless inning Saturday against the Royals but will now be sidelined for at least the next 15 days due to the shoulder issue. It's the second time this season the right-hander has been on the shelf with an arm injury, as he was out to begin the campaign with right biceps tendinitis.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Stashak built on his breakout 2019 season and showed he can be a steady part of Minnesota's setup corps. Stashak had a 17:3 K:BB ratio, improving his strikeout rate to 33% albeit in a small sample of 15 innings. He also improved against lefties allowing a .434 OPS against left-handed batters compared to .844 OPS in 2019. The only blemish on his season was missing a month with a lower back injury. Stashak has mediocre velocity (91.9 mph fastball), but his pinpoint control and effective slider help keep hitters off balance. Stashak's 15.2% swinging-strike rate was 23rd best among all pitchers with 10 or more innings pitched. If he can maintain the improvements from his short 2020 season, Stashak's prominence could rise in the Minnesota bullpen.
