Inglett hit .254/.331/.401 in 142 at-bats for the Brewers in 2010, mainly as a pinch-hitter. Milwaukee declined arbitration on him this offseason and he's now a free agent. Regardless of where he lands, Inglett doesn't project to play on an everyday basis thanks to his lack of pop and inconsistent contact skills.
Inglett is a handy bench guy in the world of 12-to-13 man pitching staffs as he can handle second and third base and either outfield corner well enough to not be a liability, but he doesn't offer anything from a fantasy perspective. He bounced around between Triple-A Las Vegas and Toronto with Aaron Hill returning to health, getting just 89 at-bats in a bench role when he was up with Toronto. He was claimed by the Rangers this offseason and figures to see a larger role with Texas, but he'll still be a reserve.
Inglett finally got some regular playing time after spending much of his career riding buses in the minors, hitting .297 in 109 games for the Jays. It's nice to see him finally get a break after several serviceable minor league seasons, but there's really no reason to touch him on draft day. With Aaron Hill expected back in the mix at second base, Inglett will once again be limited to a utility role for the Jays or a full-time gig at Triple-A.
Acquired late in the season off waivers from the Indians, Inglett spent most of the year at Triple-A Buffalo after seeing a fair bit of playing time in the majors back in 2006. His chances of making the Blue Jays as a utility player next spring took a big hit following the acquisition of Marco Scutaro.
Became the Tribe's utlity man when Ronnie Belliard was dealt and performed admirably. It's hard to imagine the soon-to-be 29 year old has much more progress in him, which means he stays away from your roster.
