ANALYSIS
The A's third-round pick in 2010, Shipman is very raw as he enters his first year of full-season professional ball, but he's considered to have very good tools across the board and it's expected that he'll be able to hit sooner rather than later. It's interesting to note, however, Shipman didn't display power in the New York-Penn League in 2011, hitting .254/.385/.303 with 19 RBI and 17 steals in 20 attempts while going without a homer in 201 at-bats.
