Junge has signed a minor league contract with the Rockies, the team's official site reports.

Analysis
Junge, 35, hasn't appeared in the majors since 2003, but he'll make his first start for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday. The right-hander went 6-8 with a 4.66 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 19 starts for the Braves' Triple-A Gwinnett affiliate this season before being released in July.

Junge got his first taste of the majors in September. He was very durable in 2003 with the most starts among Philly minor leaguers (29) and finished second in the International League in innings (180.2). Depending on the free agent situation with the Phils, Junge might be thrown into the pitching staff, but most likely he will end up back in Scranton.

Started at Triple-A in 2002, but will pitch relief in Arizona Fall League. Had a cup o' joe for four games in September and didn't reveal too much. After Mesa and Silva, the Phillies bullpen may be a grab bag of innings and roles, but Junge will provide long relief mostly.
