The 20-year-old righty also dominated across 32 innings at Single-A Salem to start the year, logging a 2.53 ERA and 35:4 K:BB in seven appearances. Paez's 27.1 K-BB% is the fourth-best mark at High-A, and he's the youngest hurler among the top 15 in that stat. His command is ahead of his stuff, but at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, he's got some projection remaining. If Paez's low-90s fastball is able to develop into more of a mid-90s pitch, he'd have a higher ceiling, but as things stand, he could develop into a mid-rotation starter.
