Joey Terdoslavich

While Terdoslavich improved his walk rate at Triple-A Gwinnett by more than four percent (from 6.6% to 10.7%), his OPS fell by more than 200 points in 2014, from .926 to .722. He finished three homers shy of his 2013 total of 18 despite playing in 51 more games with the affiliate (251 more plate appearances), resulting in a 121-point drop in ISO, and he saw just 10 at-bats with the big club upon his promotion in September. The switch-hitter improved slightly from the right side of the plate, but the 26-year-old regressed dramatically from the left side, batting just .249/.330/.384 against right-handed pitchers, from .340/.375/.617 a year before. Despite the significant step back, Terdoslavich maintained his spot on the 40-man at the Rule 5 roster deadline, and could get a chance to compete for a reserve role in the outfield in spring training, with Jason Heyward and Justin Upton both dealt in the offseason.
