Canham signed a minor league contract with Colorado on Friday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.

ANALYSIS
Canham batted .280 in 30 plate appearances with Triple-A Sacramento last year, but .226 in 175 plate appearances with Double-A Midland. Don't expect much in terms of fantasy production if Canham gets the bigs at all in 2012.

Canham, an athletic catcher, has very good plate discipline with occasional gap power. His defense needs polishing, specifically receiving the ball. Even though Canham is 24 years old and has yet to have an at bat above Single-A, his plate discipline and overall leadership qualities will get him to the big leagues, though perhaps not until 2010.
